The Kanohi Artamu is the Mask of Adaptation. An Artamu Nuva is created when a destined Artamu is exposed to Energized Protodermis.
The Kanohi Artamu physically adapts the user to environmental conditions.
The Kanohi Artamu is an odd Kanohi in that it very rarely responds to the will of its user, instead activating itself to adapt the wearer to whatever conditions they find themselves in. The mask is not without dangers, however; if the Artamu is removed before an environmental adaptation ends, the adaptation becomes a permanent feature of the being, which is often disconcerting and inconvenient for those unfortunate enough to experience it.
In addition to its standard abilities, its adaptations have no time limit, and its power can be shared with individuals near the user; however, it can only be used by Nuva beings.
The Great Kanohi Artamu is always sensing the environment around the wearer, and immedietly reacts whenever they change, mutating the user's body and equipment to suit their environment. The mutations take time to complete. The user can manually cancel the mutations, reverting to their original form. If the mask is removed while the user is adapted, the mutations become permanent. This mask is always active.
The Great Artamu adapts the wearer quicker than the Noble Artamu.

The Noble Kanohi Artamu Nuva is always sensing the environment around the wearer, and immedietly reacts whenever they change, instantly mutating the user's body to suit their environment. Adapt disks mutate the struck target, adapting them to the environment. When the effect wears off, the target is reverted to their original form.
Higher level disks have an increased duration.
