The Kanohi Akikoki is the Mask of Ice.
The Kanohi Akikoki grants the user access to the power of Elemental Ice. The mask generates a secondary energy pool that the user can draw from, though this pool does not regenerate and can only be used for Ice-based attacks. There are limits to the abilities of said attacks, and as such Akikoki-bearers do not have access to the full range of powers available to beings naturally-attuned to the element of Ice.
An Akikoki Nuva is created when a destined Akikoki is dipped in Energized Protodermis. In addition to its standard abilities, the size of the elemental pool it grants is increased, and its power can be shared with individuals near the user; however, it can only be used by Nuva beings.
In the Doronai Nui
Great
As a 1AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges. They gain a temporary secondary EE Pool to be spent on powers from the Ice power list. This secondary pool gains 15 EE per Kanohi Charge spent, and cannot have more EE in this secondary pool than half the Cap of their normal pool. This secondary pool lasts for one hour and dissipates if the Kanohi is removed. The user cannot absorb Ice, and cannot perform a Nova Blast of Ice. The user has Toa-level control of Ice otherwise. If a being has no EE pool, they use their Species Category’s generic EE Resource Pool to determine the Pool Cap (see the Elemental Index).
Noble
As a 1AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges. They gain a temporary secondary EE Pool to be spent on powers from the Ice power list. This secondary pool gains 10 EE per Kanohi Charge spent, and cannot have more EE in this secondary pool than half the Cap of their normal pool. This secondary pool lasts for ten minutes and dissipates if the Kanohi is removed. The user cannot absorb Ice, and cannot perform a Nova Blast of Ice. The user has Turaga-level control of Ice otherwise. If a being has no EE pool, they use their Species Category’s generic EE Resource Pool to determine the Pool Cap (see the Elemental Index).
Great Nuva
As a 1AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges. They gain a temporary secondary EE Pool to be spent on powers from the Ice power list. This secondary pool gains 20 EE per Kanohi Charge spent, and cannot have more EE in this secondary pool than half the Cap of their normal pool.
Noble Nuva
As a 1AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges. They gain a temporary secondary EE Pool to be spent on powers from the Ice power list. This secondary pool gains 12 EE per Kanohi Charge spent, and cannot have more EE in this secondary pool than half the Cap of their normal pool. This secondary pool lasts for one hour and dissipates if the Kanohi is removed. The user cannot absorb Ice, and cannot perform a Nova Blast of Ice. The user has Turaga-level control of Ice otherwise. If a being has no EE pool, they use their Species Category’s generic EE Resource Pool to determine the Pool Cap (see the Elemental Index).
