The Kanohi Leruziril is the Mask of Acid. An Leruziril Nuva is created when a destined Leruziril is exposed to Energized Protodermis.
The Kanohi Leruziril grants its user access to the power of elemental Acid. The mask relies on its own elemental energy pool when using the mask's elemental abilities. There are limits to said abilities, and as such Leruziril-bearers do not have access to the full range of powers available to beings naturally-attuned to the element of Acid.
The Kanohi Leruziril has never been made in the main universe. Instead, it is found in alternate universes where Acid is a Matoran element.
The Great Kanohi Leruziril grants the user access to the elemental power of Acid at Toa-level while worn. The mask does not boost any pre-existing powers or recharge the user's own elemental energy pool. It relies on its own separate and finite elemental energy pool, and the user can (with skill) use the mask simultaneously as an innate power. The mask does not grant the user any innate elemental abilities such as resistances, and does not have the ability to absorb its element. It also does not grant species-specific elemental abilites such as nova blasts.

Application
In alternate universes where Vi-Matoran exist, level 8 Toa Disks of Acid are sometimes forged in honor of new Toa of Acid.
