The Kanohi Faxon is the Mask of Kindred.
The Great Faxon version allows its user to mimic the powers of Rahi that share their general environment, whereas the Noble version lets its user copy the powers of Rahi that share their specific environment (for example, only desert-dwelling Rahi as opposed to all land Rahi). Any ability that does not rely on an organ or a mechanism constitutes a power - for example, fish that breathe water naturally because of their gills or birds that fly naturally as incident of their wings do not have the powers of water breathing or flying, respectively; but an electric bug that shoots lightning, or the Kanohi Dragon that flies without wings have the powers of electric shock and flight, respectively. Both versions of the mask allow the user to add powers that they observe from a Rahi to a “list” they can call upon when they are in the proper environment (land, air, sea, etc. for Great; individual biomes like swamps, deserts, tundra, etc. for Noble). The Kanohi Faxon has perfect knowledge of the nature of these powers, even if the being who wears it misunderstands the exact nature of the powers copied.
A Faxon Nuva is created when a destined Faxon is dipped in Energized Protodermis. In addition to its standard abilities, stored powers require less time to activate, and its power can be shared with individuals near the user; however, it can only be used by Nuva beings.
In the Doronai Nui
Great
As a 4AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges to copy a Rahi’s natural power (such as a Kanohi Dragon’s flight or an electric bug’s Lightning, but not a Nui-Rama’s wings) displayed by a Rahi and witnessed by the bearer since the start of the wearer’s last turn. Once the Kanohi has finished copying a power, the power is stored in the Kanohi’s Power Archive. As a 1AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges to activate any power stored in the Kanohi’s Power Archive, provided that the Rahi the power was copied from is native to a similar environment to the wearer’s current environment. The wearer may use that power as if it were their own. This power lasts for either 10 rounds, 1 hour outside of combat, or until the wearer activates another power. While the Kanohi Faxon itself does not require Focus, copied powers may.
Noble
As a 4AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges to copy a Rahi’s natural power (such as a Kanohi Dragon’s flight or an electric bug’s Lightning, but not a Nui-Rama’s wings) displayed by a Rahi and witnessed by the bearer since the start of the wearer’s last turn. As a 1AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges to activate any power stored in the Kanohi’s Power Archive, provided the Rahi the power was copied from is native to a similar environment to the wearer’s current environment. The wearer, and all beings chosen when activating the Kanohi, may use that power as if it were their own. This power lasts for either 10 rounds, 1 hour outside of combat, or until the wearer activates another power. While the Kanohi Faxon itself does not require Focus, copied powers may.

Additional notes
The limitations of what constitutes a power is ultimately the choice of the Game Master. Players must maintain their own Power Archive lists to be able to use them; if they choose to not maintain this list, it should not be expected that their character remembers the power well enough to use it. The Kanohi Faxon has perfect knowledge of the nature of these powers, even if the being who wears it misunderstands the exact nature of the powers copied (which is to say that the specific power that the player can employ is given to them by the Game Master rather than recorded themselves). This is a complicated Kanohi ability, and should not be considered new player-friendly.
