The Kanohi Komau is the Mask of Mind Control. A Komau Nuva is created when a destined Komau is exposed to Energized Protodermis.
The Kanohi Komau allows its user control the mind of another being. However, the mask cannot be used to direct someone to act against their morals, or knowingly bring themselves or others to serious harm. Because the mask only works on beings with minds, it is useless against robotic constructs, and it is also less effective against Rahi.
The Great Kanohi Komau allows the user to control the mind of a single target, allowing them to direct their actions. When doing so, the user is able to see surface level thoughts of the target. Additionally, the mask can be used to deal debilitating mental blasts, and can be used to help calm a panicked or frenzied being. However, the target cannot be made to go against their own morals, or perform actions that would knowingly bring them or others serious harm. Strong-willed minds are able to resist the mask's power to a degree.

Mind Control disks causes the target to be under the control of the thrower for the duration of the effect. The thrower may also chose to deliver a mental blast instead.
Higher level disks are harder to resist and have an increased duration.

Three official Komau models were made by LEGO: the standard Great, standard Noble, and Hordika.
