The Kanohi Akikoki is the Mask of Ice. An Akikoki Nuva is created when a destined Akikoki is exposed to Energized Protodermis.

The Kanohi Akikoki grants its user access to the power of elemental Ice. The mask relies on its own elemental energy pool when using the mask's elemental abilities. There are limits to said abilities, and as such Akikoki-bearers do not have access to the full range of powers available to beings naturally-attuned to the element of Ice.

The Great Kanohi Akikoki grants the user access to the elemental power of Ice at Toa-level while worn. The mask does not boost any pre-existing powers or recharge the user's own elemental energy pool. It relies on its own separate and finite elemental energy pool, and the user can (with skill) use the mask simultaneously as an innate power. The mask does not grant the user any innate elemental abilities such as resistances, and does not have the ability to absorb its element. It also does not grant species-specific elemental abilites such as nova blasts.

The mask does not grant the user any innate elemental abilities such as resistances, and does not have the ability to absorb its element. It also does not grant species-specific elemental abilites such as nova blasts.

The Great Kanohi Akikoki Nuva grants the user access to the elemental power of Ice at Toa Nuva-level while worn.

Ice disks may cause a variety of different effects relating to the element of Ice.

Application

Level 8 Toa Disks of Ice are sometimes forged in honor of new Toa of Ice.
