The [[Kanohi]] '''Ruru''' is the Mask of Night Vision. A '''Ruru Nuva''' is created when a destined Ruru is exposed to [[Energized Protodermis]].


The Kanohi Ruru grants the wearer the varying abilities to see in darkness. The Great version of the Ruru allows its user to cast a beam of light that allows them and those nearby to see in darkness. It also grants them normal night vision and a small degree of x-ray vision. It can be used as a weapon, blinding enemies with its glow. The Noble version does not glow but allows its user to see clearly in any level of darkness.
The Kanohi Ruru allows the user to see in the dark.


A '''Ruru Nuva''' is created when a destined Ruru is dipped in [[Energized Protodermis]]. In addition to its standard abilities, it lasts longer and produces a brighter light, and its power can be shared with individuals near the user; however, it can only be used by Nuva beings.
