History
Little is currently known about the history of the Tren Krom Peninsula.
Landscape
Defined by the chain of active volcanoes known as the Tamisino Ridge running along its length, as well as acid falls, razor-sharp crystals, and a jungle full of dangerous Rahi and plantlife, the Tren Krom Peninsula is considered one of the most inhospitable regions in the known universe. Despite this, there are a surprising number of Matoran who not only survive in this region, but willingly choose to live there, such as the inhabitants of the local De-Matoran colony in the southern jungles. Life in the region still is rough, however; the only beacon of civilization is the city of Takabuuru on the northeastern coast, which is full of pirates and adventurers alike.
Society
The unique requirements to survive on the Peninsula have affected how its inhabitants think and act, making even Toa stick to the shadows and adopt stealthy tactics generally frowned upon in other regions if they wish to survive.
