History

Little is currently known about the history of Vezohi.

Landscape

Covered by the dense wilderness of the Vezohi Jungle, this region is said to hide its true nature underground, where vast crystal fields and rich protodermis mines sustain a number of underground settlements. The exquisitely-precious gems and metals mined in this area constitute both rare mineral and industrial products exported by the Augafi to the west of this region. A local legend speaks of massive, ancient Rahi that slumber underground beneath the jungle, though the existence of these so-called “Sleepers” remains unverified.

Life in the jungle is greatly influenced by the day and night cycle: during the daytime, it is generally safe to travel the region, but at night, dangerous predators roam both the jungle and the skies, and poisonous spores suffocate anything or anyone unfortunate enough to be close to the ground.

Society

Augafi, Onu-, Fe-, and Fa-Matoran make their homes beneath the surface of Vezohi. The jungle above is full of dangerous Rahi, and inhabited by both Bomohku hunters and a scattering of small, isolated settlements built high in the trees. Near the edges of the region lie a few coastal villages.

The Rahi who live in the jungle are generally adapted to avoid the worst effects of the spores.
