History

Little is currently known about the history of Ontahura.

Landscape

Ontahura is famous for its hot springs and unique vegetation; due to the abundance of hot water, mining is difficult here and can only be practiced in certain places, despite the region’s sheer quantity of rich natural resources.

Society

To make up for its limited mining capability, Ontahura has become an industrial center, utilizing the thermal energy belowground to power its factories and other infrastructure. While Ontahura’s goods play only a small role in the northern part of the universe, where competition is strong, it is the main supplier for many regions located further south. For that reason, Ontahura also still retains strong connections to Monuhi; many of its principal investors are Augafi.

Ontahura is also known for harboring the largest Ta-Matoran population outside of Metru Nui.
