Overview

As the island closest to Metru Nui, Vorlis has almost always played a key role in trade and communication with the City of Legends.

History

In the early days of the universe, Vorlis' proximity to Metru Nui allowed it to rapidly grow from little more than a small fishing settlement into the economic powerhouse it is today.

The allegiance of Vorlis was heavily contested during the time of the League of Six Kingdoms, with Pridak, Ehlek, and Metru Nui simultaneously claiming authority over the island. After conflict threatened to break out over the previously-unscathed island’s loyalties, it was eventually declared neutral ground, and has since gained a strong reputation as a neutral trading hub between any and all powers.

Landscape

On the surface, this prosperous island contains bustling ports and embassies, as well as the workshops of many capable craftsmen of all species. However, what lies beneath Vorlis is even more crucial: it serves as not only a primary access point to the underground chutes connecting the disparate parts of the universe, but also sits atop the power distribution lines that conduct the excess energy of Metru Nui’s power plant to the northern islands.
