The Ursare, the race of the Barraki warlord Ehlek, are an aquatic species native to the seas surrounding the island of Zakaz. Their entire race was altered by a mysterious group, granting them enhanced strength and long, retractable claws made out of Protosteel. Ursare are naturally thin, almost frail-looking, but are incredibly fast swimmers, able to reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour. However, they can only breathe water, and must wear specialized breathing helmets when on land; this renders them more vulnerable than most, so the apparati are almost always heavily-armored. Their ways and customs are somewhat different than those of most land-dwellers, making them seem almost alien in nature. Ursare can use Kanohi (even while wearing a breathing apparatus).
