Udunogawai (Southern Continent)
Udunogawai, also known as the Southern Continent, is the largest landmass in the Matoran Universe.
History
Due to the Southern Continent’s size, it long ago found itself caught between the armies of three Barraki: Mantax, Kalmah, and Pridak. While Mantax retained control of the southern provinces, the northern regions were taken by the others, and to this day remain more integrated with the northern islands than with the southern side of Udunogawai.
During the Great Cataclysm, the Southern Continent suffered significant damage, with part of the landmass even breaking off and vanishing beyond the universe’s borders. This central region left in its wake a waterfall from the heavens whose water possessed dangerous mutagenic effects and soon formed a great lake.
Landscape
As the largest landmass in the Matoran Universe, the Southern Continent is home to a variety of species and various different environments. The center of the continent is a desert, ringed by high mountains, and the southern regions are divided from the rest of the continent by the Tren Krom River, the largest waterway in the universe and Udunogawai's primary trade route. Following the Great Cataclysm, there is now a large lake with mutagenic properties in the center of the continent.
