Rock Raptors are cunning predatory Rahi.
History
The Rock Raptor species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.[1]
A colony of Raptors established themselves near the Sculpture Fields in the Po-Metru district of Metru Nui, where their diet consisted of large herd animals like Kikanalo and Kane-Ra.[2]
Although Rock Raptors had never before shown aggression towards Matoran, during the Visorak invasion, the Roporak agitated the Raptors, who became hostile with anything that came near.[3]
After the destruction of the Matoran Universe, many Rock Raptors immigrated to Spherus Magna.[4]
Abilities and Traits
Rock Raptors prey upon larger animals using a unique method. A Rock Raptor uses its tools to dig out caves in the mountains of Po-Metru as living space they share with Spiny Stone Apes. It can then use the same tools to weaken entire slopes and bring them down in a rain of stone upon their potential prey. Stunned, the larger creatures are then easy prey for the Raptor.[2]
