The Marn Tunnels were annexes of the Great Mine in Onu-Wahi.
History
The Marn Tunnels were developed during the Matoran occupation of the island of Mata Nui. At least twelve tunnels were established to extract precious materials like Protodermis, Ore and Lightstones. Onu-Matoran Engineers supervised extraction efforts; Nuparu was the Tunnel Engineer 2nd class of Marn Tunnel 12, Section 4.
Because the Great Mine could not be saved following the Gahlok invasion, the Marn Tunnels were scheduled to be expanded to allow mining to continue. Work on its expansion was abandoned when the Matoran returned to Metru Nui, and it was later cleared and destroyed by the re-awakened Bohrok swarms.
