Manutri are flightless Rahi birds.
History
The Manutri species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.[1] A population of Manutri made its home on the Southern Continent.
When the Great Cataclysm tore Voya Nui from the Southern Continent and sent it to the surface of Aqua Magna, several Manutri survived the voyage and continued to live on the newly-formed island. For 1,000 years, the Manutri lived in the Ring of Ice around the island and would spend most of their time fishing.
Some of the Manutri were captured by Karzahni and forcibly trained by him to work as a small fighting force.[2] He was defeated, however, before they had a chance to attack.[3]
When the Toa Mahri destroyed the Cord and sent Voya Nui back to its place on the Southern Continent, some of the Manutri may not have survived the descent.[4]
After the Great Spirit Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, the surviving Manutri left the Matoran Universe and immigrated to Spherus Magna.[5]
Abilities and Traits
Despite possessing wings, the Manutri are incapable of flight, and spend their time on the ground.
Tools
The Manutri captured by Karzahni were equipped with Cordak Blasters and Squid Launchers that Karzahni stole from the Barraki's weapons cache.
