Lake Kanae was a lake in Le-Wahi.

History

Like the rest of Mata Nui, it was created by the accidental activation of Mata Nui's camouflage system by the Great Cataclysm. The village of Le-Koro was built upon the trees that grew in the lake, being centered on an enormous tree that grew on the edge of the lake. On the banks, there was a rock with an inscription about the Bohrok.

Takua and Taipu journeyed here from the newly built Le-Koro Highway in Onu-Wahi. Tamaru was later stationed here, due to his fear of heights, to guard against any Rahi attempting to scale the trees to Le-Koro. He soon abandoned this post to join the Chronicler's Company, as only flying Rahi were attacking.

Lake Kanae was cleared of substance by the Bohrok swarms and eventually destroyed by Mata Nui's Reawakening.
