The Cavern of Historical Records was a cavern on Voya Nui where the Matoran stored records carved in stone of the island and of its residents.
History
When the Piraka arrived on the island of the Voya Nui, Avak and Vezok were attacked by Order of Mata Nui member Axonn while searching the Green Belt for an entrance to the Chamber of Life. They were lured into the cavern, where Vezok promptly destroyed the records. Once the Piraka were trapped inside, Axonn and Voya Nui Resistance Team member Balta sealed the entrance with a cave-in. Vezok and Avak eventually escaped the cavern.
When Teridax was killed in the Battle of Bara Magna, the Cavern of Historical Records was severely damaged, and the Matoran evacuated to Spherus Magna. Later, the Cavern of Historical Records, along with all other locations in the Matoran Universe, was dismantled.[1][2]
