The Canyon of Unending Whispers, also known as the Place of Unending Whispers, was a lonely canyon at the border between Po-Metru and Onu-Metru.

History

During the Toa-Dark Hunter War, the Dark Hunter Lariska told the traitorous Toa Mangai Nidhiki to lead Metru Nui's army of Toa into the Canyon of Unending Whispers; there, the Dark Hunters could ambush their assembled opponents. The next day, one hundred Toa traveled into the canyon and were attacked by the Dark Hunters. However, when Toa Lhikan gave a signal, over two hundred concealed Toa showed themselves and surrounded the Dark Hunters. After a short discussion, the Dark Hunters left the canyon with Toa Nidhiki in tow, and the war ended.

Shortly before the Great Cataclysm, mysterious activity had been noted in the canyon: squads of Vahki Zadakh were seen patrolling the area and the Dark Hunters Nidhiki and Krekka had been sighted taking Toa Lhikan there. While searching for Lhikan, three of the Toa Metru rode Kikanalo to the canyon. Once there, the Toa tricked Nidhiki and Krekka, defeated the Zadakh guarding the area, and entered a cave leading to the Prison of the Dark Hunters. The Kikanalo with whom the Toa had journeyed then used their loud roars to bring down several boulders, thus sealing the cave entrance.

The canyon was later damaged when a fragment of Aqua Magna struck Metru Nui, causing severe damage throughout the city. Later, the Canyon of Unending Whispers, along with all other locations in the Matoran Universe, was dismantled.
