History
An island with an exceedingly long history, Varn is sometimes remembered as the home of the leader of the first Toa team. Not long after, the local Turaga allegedly went insane, and shipped off the entire population of Matoran to the realm of Karzahni. New Matoran settlers were brought to the island by the Barraki warlord Carapar, who developed Varn into a bastion against Mantax's kingdom of Ruangu in the north. He built the great fortified city of Sansokar as a visible declaration of this claim. After being liberated from Barraki forces, Varn became the site of the Brotherhood of Makuta's largest southern military base. Troops were stationed here for any emergencies in the south of the universe.
The Paxorak who live here have adapted to the comparatively peaceful lives of Matoran society after the collapse of Hakori. Instead of being pirates who scour neighboring islands, they serve as sailors between the distant islands of the South, and are valued by travellers from the North for their skill.
Landscape
Not much is known of Varn landscape, aside from the existence of a fortified city named Sansokar on the island.
