History
Carapar vowed to claim the island, despite its poor resources, but his defeat at the hands of the Brotherhood ensured that he never got the chance.
Landscape
The landscape of Valek is defined by the towering, hive-like buildings of the Kofaturi rising from the rocky island surface. Highly hostile towards strangers, they even managed to defend their homeland against Barraki Carapar's armies.
Few beings know that the teleporting Nynpahk species also lives on the island, although they are hardly ever seen on the island surface, despite being the only other species tolerated by the Kofaturi. It is speculated that the Nynpahk live underground in vast cave systems, utilizing their teleportation powers to travel between them and the island’s surface.
