The Akutana e-Metru Nui, or simply Akutana, are a society dedicated to the preservation of information about the Matoran Universe and its inhabitants. As their name implies, their primary branch operates out of the City of Legends, but Akutana members can be found throughout the universe. Some choose to focus on recording current events, others work to ensure that ancient myths are not lost to the ravages of time, and a bold few investigate distant locales that might otherwise go undocumented.
History
Not much is currently known about the history of the Akutana e-Metru Nui.
At some point before the city's sea gates were closed, they relocated their headquarters to another island after encountering increasing friction with Turaga Dume.
Infrastructure
The infrastructure of the Akutana e-Metru Nui is not currently well-documented.
