Stone is an Elemental Power.
Examples
- Creating stone and/or Solid Protodermis
- Controlling stone and/or Solid Protodermis
- Absorbing stone and/or Solid Protodermis
- Projecting one's consciousness into stone (Element Lord-exclusive)
- Unleashing a Stone Nova Blast (Toa-exclusive)
- Setting a timed Stone blast (Toa Nuva-exclusive)
Combinations
- When combined with the Elemental Power of Fire, Stone can be used to create lava.
- Beings other than Toa and the Krahka cannot combine powers of any sort to create a Protodermis cage. As long as each of them wields a different Element, and Light and Shadow are not included at the same time, any six Toa can create a Protodermis cage.[4]

Tribally-Linked Abilities
All beings elementally aligned with Stone make Fortitude Saves against Exhaustion with ADV, and may stay active for up to 72 hours without incurring the first level of Exhaustion. All levels of Exhaustion accrue as normal after this.
Elemental Talents
Wielders of Stone have access to a variety of Elemental Talents; you begin play with one that lacks a prerequisite, and may unlock the others for their listed SP cost.
Stoneblade - 2SP
Increase the critical range of your Bolt and Elemental Strike Elemental Attack Forms by 1.
Smiting Stone - 2SP
Whenever you deal damage to one or more beings with your elemental abilities, each being who suffered damage must make a FORT Save; on a failure, their speed is reduced by 5ft until the end of their next turn.
Blunt Force - 3SP (Prerequisite: Smiting Stone)
Whenever you deal damage to one or more beings with your elemental abilities, each being who suffered damage must make a FORT save; on a failure, they lose 1AP from their next Turn. If a being fails the save made to resist the effects of Smiting Stone, they automatically fail this save as well.
Shattering Boulder - 2SP
Whenever you deal damage with your elemental abilities, all beings within 5ft of the original target must make a REFL Save; on a failure, they suffer 1dX damage, where X is determined by your PROF (PROF 2/d4, PROF 3/d6, PROF 4/d8, PROF 5/d10, PROF 6/d12, etc.); on a success, they suffer half as much damage. If you deal damage in an AoE (though not necessarily the Elemental Attack Form of Area of Effect), all beings adjacent to the AoE must make the save, though beings within the AoE aren’t subject to the effect.
Fragmentation Strike - 1SP (Prerequisite: Shattering Boulder)
The range of your Shattering Boulder Elemental Talent increases to 10ft.
Erosion - 2SP
As a 2AP action, you may spend 5EE to reduce the Quality of an item made primarily of stone by 1 step, up to a maximum equal to your PROF. You cannot reduce the Quality of an Artakhan item.
Solid Fury - 2SP
Whenever you take the Break Limb action, you may spend 5EE to ignore the DADV that the Action normally incurs.
Aspects
Aspects are used with Elemental Items. Some aspects will have a varying effect based on Size - this might mean that something too small has no effect, some might have no effect when too large, and some might not scale effect with size. Andesite Andesite is the standard material of elemental Stone, and has no unique properties.
Shale (2SP, 2EE)
Shale deals Slashing Damage by default and comes in layers of thin, weak stone. It has half the IHP of Andesite.
Sandstone (2SP, 0EE)
An unstable variant of Stone. It costs 0 additional EE to produce, and halves the cost of an E-Item made of it. Sandstone has the same IHP as Andesite. However, any being may attempt to fracture and collapse an item made of Sandstone. As a 2AP action, they may attempt a Combat Maneuver; if successful, they must roll another CMB check against a DC equal to the Sandstone item’s remaining IHP. On a success, the Sandstone item collapses into sand.
Limestone (2SP, 2EE)
An incredibly durable stone. It has twice the IHP as Andesite, and gains a +2 bonus to Saving Throws related to attempts to weaken it, such as Weaken Kanoka or explosions.
Airstone (3SP, 4EE)
E-Items made from Airstone are able to float on water. They have half the IHP of standard objects of the same size. Additionally, E-Items Medium size or larger are large and stable enough to support beings while floating on water - each E-Item can hold as many beings as can fit on it (assuming each being requires 5 square feet to stand on).
Area of Effect
The terrain around you is violently ripped apart, shattered, and reformed in waves of erosion and reformation. All beings within the AoE must make a REFL Save at the start of your turn while the AoE is active, or whenever they enter the AoE; on a failure, they suffer Bludgeoning Damage equal to your Intensity, and are knocked Prone; on a success, they suffer half as much damage and aren’t knocked Prone. Additionally, beings are more likely to suffer serious wounds while within the AoE. If a being fails the REFL Save by 5 or more, they suffer 1d4 Dexterity ASD. The area the AoE covers is treated as Difficult terrain, even after the AoE ends.
Elemental Armor
Strong stone slabs supplement your armor, turning Strikes away more effectively. When you activate your E-Armor, you increase your AC by your Intensity. Starting at Intensity 3, at the start of your turn, you gain Xd4 THP (where X is equal to your Intensity). This value replenishes at the start of each turn, but can not exceed the maximum roll. Additionally, starting at Intensity 3, spikes protrude from your E-Armor, forcing all beings who make a Strike Action against you to make a REFL Save; on a failure, they suffer Xd4 Piercing Damage (where X is equal to your Intensity).
