Timeline

Dates on this page are given in two formats:

   Years after Awakening (aA), a reckoning used by Matoran to count the years since they first became self-aware, and
   Years Ago, a negative count of years relevant to the time of the main story of BIONICLE.

For example, the time exactly one year before the arrival of the Toa Mata would be listed as (99,999 aA / 1 Year Ago).

• The Dawn Ages (0 aA - 1,000 aA)
• The League Era (1,000 aA - 20,000 aA)
• The Prosecution (20,000 aA - 25,000 aA)

• The Great Cataclysm (98,999 aA), including the time of the Toa Metru
