Not long after, the local [[Turaga]] allegedly went insane, and shipped off the entire population of [[Matoran]] to the realm of [[Karzahni (Location)|Karzahni]]. New Matoran settlers were brought to the island by the [[Barraki]] warlord [[Carapar]], who developed Varn into a bastion against [[Mantax]]&#039;s kingdom of [[Ruangu]] in the north. He built the great fortified city of [[Sansokar]] as a visible declaration of this claim. After being liberated from Barraki forces, Varn became the site of the [[Brotherhood of Makuta]]&#039;s largest southern military base. Troops were stationed here for any emergencies in the south of the universe.<br /> <br /> The [[Paxorak]] who live here have adapted to the comparatively peaceful lives of Matoran society after the collapse of [[Hakori]].
