The Tunnel Stalker species was created by the [[Makuta]] using [[Virus]]es and [[Protodermis#Liquid Protodermis|Liquid Protodermis]] to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the [[Matoran Universe]].{{BookCitation|MGttU|63}}

A small colony of Tunnel Stalkers established themselves in [[Po-Metru]] on [[Metru Nui]]. However, only two sightings of this species were ever recorded. One of the specimens was captured by a [[Vahki]] squad and sent to the [[Archives]] to be viewed by all.{{BookCitation|BEU|145}}

== Abilities and Traits ==
Tunnel Stalkers are well known for their hunting technique. A Tunnel Stalker lurks in tunnels just beneath the sand, with its bladed tail ready to attack. When it senses movement on the surface, it leaps out of the sand and strikes its prey.{{BookCitation|BEU|145}}

Besides their stingers, Tunnel Stalkers also have sharp pincers and mandibles for defensive purposes.{{BookCitation|BEU|145}}
