On Metru Nui, Talvi lived and worked in [[Ko-Metru]] as a Chute Station Attendant.{{MediaCitation|NuTMMPCD}}

When [[Toa Metru]] [[Nuju]] was searching for the missing Ko-Matoran [[Ehrye]] during his search for the [[Great Disks]], Talvi informed the [[Toa]] of Ehrye's whereabouts at the time and directed him to the [[Chutes|Chute]] he had used shortly before.{{BookCitation|BA1}}

He was captured by [[Vahki]] under the command of [[Makuta]] [[Teridax]] disguised as [[Turaga]] [[Dume]]. He was then placed into a [[Matoran Sphere]] and went into stasis, but was later [[Great Rescue|rescued]] by the Toa Metru and spirited away to the island of [[Mata Nui (Location)|Mata Nui]].{{BookCitation|BA4}}

Talvi was reawakened by the Toa Metru on the shores of [[Naho Bay]]. Talvi's size and power had been diminished by the energy-sapping effects of the Matoran Sphere. Under Turaga Nuju's direction, he participated in the construction of [[Ko-Koro]] using elements of the disassembled [[Airship]]s that had been used to transport them to the island.{{BookCitation|BW}}

In Ko-Koro, Talvi became a member of the [[Sanctum Guard]] and normally patrolled outside the village entrance with [[Pakastaa]]. Immediately before the [[Toa Mata]]'s [[Battle of Mangaia|confrontation with Makuta Teridax]], Talvi helped to defend the village from an onslaught of [[Infected Kanohi|infected]] Rahi. After the [[Battle Against the Bohrok-Kal|defeat]] of the [[Bohrok-Kal]], Talvi was rebuilt into a stronger form to make up for the shrinking he had undergone as a result of his imprisonment in a Matoran Sphere.

Talvi was evacuated from Ko-Koro with the other Ko-Matoran following the [[Rahkshi]]'s attack on the village.

=== Return to Metru Nui ===
Talvi later helped in the construction of [[Boat]]s to return to Metru Nui, where he and the other Matoran undertook work to repair the city which had been damaged due to the [[Great Cataclysm]]. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of [[Jaller]], to force the Turaga to reveal where the [[Toa Nuva]] had gone, but he eventually got back to work.
