The '''Onu-Koro Highway''' was an old and abandoned tunnel on {{p|Mata Nui|Location}}, which connected [[Ko-Wahi]] to [[Onu-Koro]].

== History ==
The tunnel in which the highway was located was built by the [[Matoran]] to service transportation between the villages. Due to the increased number of [[Infected Kanohi|infected]] [[Rahi]] attacks in the extreme darkness of the tunnels, the highway fell out of use.

It was re-discovered by the Matoran [[Takua]] and [[Jaller]] during their quest to find the [[Takanuva|seventh Toa]]. While playing around with some bioluminescent plants he found in the tunnel, Takua got lost and met [[Makuta]] [[Teridax]], in the form of a pair of great glowing crimson eyes in the darkness. The Makuta tried to convince him to abandon the quest and leave Jaller, which shook Takua's confidence and incited him to do as Teridax requested. As the [[Av-Matoran]] and Pewku made their way towards Onu-Koro, Jaller veered off the main path, following the direction of the glowing [[Kanohi]] [[Avohkii]].

The tunnel was later cleared by the reawakened [[Bohrok]] swarms.
