She was captured by the [[Vahki]] under the command of [[Makuta]] [[Teridax]], disguised as [[Turaga]] [[Dume]]. She was then forced into a [[Matoran Sphere]] but was later [[Great Rescue|rescued]] by the [[Toa Metru]] and awakened on the shores of [[Naho Bay]] on the island of [[Mata Nui (Location)|Mata Nui]].{{BookCitation|BA4}}

The strength and size of Nixie's body decreased following her imprisonment in a Matoran Sphere. She helped her fellow Ga-Matoran in the construction of [[Ga-Koro]], under the direction of [[Nokama]], taking material from disassembled [[Airship]]s that the [[Toa]] had used for the mass transport of Matoran to Mata Nui.{{BookCitation|BW}}

In Ga-Koro, Nixie became an [[Matoran Occupations#Mata Nui Occupations|Astrologer]], observing the movements of the [[Red Star]] through her telescope to discern what the future might bring.

Sometime after the [[Toa Mata]]'s arrival on Mata Nui, Nixie and her fellow Ga-Matoran were trapped by an [[Infected Kanohi|infected]] [[Tarakava]] in a [[Matoran Homes#Ga-Koro|hut]], which sank. Later, when Takua explored the [[Great Mine]] in [[Onu-Wahi]], he encountered an [[Onu-Matoran]] who had stumbled upon a [[Great Sundial|sundial]] on an impenetrable layer of rock.
