== Biography ==
Over 1,300 years ago, the Brotherhood of Makuta created Minion in an experiment with Rahi. Unbeknownst to the [[Makuta]], Minion gained sapience during their experiments and paid attention to what was going on around him.{{BookCitation|DH|44|entryname=Minion}} While with the Brotherhood, Minion worked as an enforcer.{{BookCitation|BEU|93|entryname=Minion}}

1,300 years ago, when Makuta [[Teridax]]'s team of [[Toa Hagah]] [[Raid on the Destral Fortress|rebelled]] against the Brotherhood, Minion escaped the organization. He traveled to [[Odina]], joined the Dark Hunters, and has not spoken a word since. [[The Shadowed One]] has tried to extract information from him several times, to no avail. The Shadowed One keeps Minion close by in case he begins to talk and reveal Brotherhood secrets.{{BookCitation|DH|44|entryname=Minion}}

When the [[Toa Nuva]] invaded Odina shortly before the [[Order of Mata Nui-Brotherhood of Makuta War|Destiny War]], Minion was the first to spot them. [[Kopaka]] encased Minion in [[ice]] before the Dark Hunter could attack.{{OnlineCitation|TNB|3}}

== Abilities and Traits ==
Minion is more cognizant than his Makuta creators intended. He has enough agency to defect from the Brotherhood and may continue to exert agency by refusing to disclose his valuable secrets to the Shadowed One.

Minion can sense if there are any Makuta close to him, making him an effective guard against sneak attacks from the Brotherhood. He never speaks; the Shadowed One is unsure if Minion is mute or if he stays silent by choice.{{BookCitation|DH|44|entryname=Minion}}
