The '''Kraata Cave''' was an expansive cave in [[Po-Wahi]] in which the [[Turaga]] of {{p|Mata Nui|Location}} stored the [[Kraata]] that they had captured.

== History ==
When [[Makuta]] [[Teridax]] began his [[Great War|assault]] on the [[Matoran]] of Mata Nui, he created and unleashed numerous Kraata. Over the next thousand years, the Turaga captured these Kraata and gathered them in a cave in Po-Wahi. Here, the Kraata were suspended in time and space with the use of [[Stasis Tube|stasis]] cylinders organized into a grid at one of the walls of the cave. The entrance of the cave featured a carving of a Kraata as a warning to the unwary.

The existence of the cave was revealed to [[Toa Nuva]] [[Pohatu]] and [[Onua]] by Turaga [[Whenua]] only after the arrival of [[Teridax]]'s [[Rahkshi]] following the discovery of the [[Avohkii|Mask of Light]]. Whenua was concerned that the [[Makuta]]'s Rahkshi would attempt to free the imprisoned Kraata, a fear which was realized when [[Guurahk]] and [[Panrahk]] together used their Staffs of Power to compromise the structural integrity of the cave. This shock wave from the resulting cave-in cracked the cylinders and freed the Kraata. The two Toa Nuva and Turaga of Earth managed to escape and the combined efforts of [[Tahu]] and [[Kopaka]] sealed the exit, trapping the Kraata inside, except one Shadow Kraata which Pohatu caught hold of as it attempted to escape.

When the [[Bohrok]] swarms were reawakened, the Kraata Cave and its contents were destroyed.
