== Biography ==
=== Metru Nui ===
On [[Metru Nui]], he worked a variety of [[Matoran Occupations|occupations]], including being a Messenger and a [[Chute Station Attendant]]. Shortly before the [[Great Cataclysm]], he was forced into a [[Matoran Sphere]] by the [[Vahki]], as was the rest of the [[Matoran]] populace, under the orders of [[Makuta]] [[Teridax]], who was disguised as [[Turaga]] [[Dume]]. He was later [[Great Rescue|rescued]] by the [[Toa Metru]] and reawakened on [[Naho Bay]] along with the rest of the Matoran who were saved.

Kopeke's size and strength both reduced as a result of his confinement in a Matoran Sphere and he lost his memories of Metru Nui as well. He assisted in the construction of [[Ko-Koro]] under Turaga [[Nuju]], using materials from [[Airship]]s used in the Great Rescue.{{BookCitation|BW}} On [[Mata Nui (Location)|Mata Nui]], he became a renowned Ice [[Carver]], creating ice bridges and sculptures in honor of [[Toa]] [[Kopaka]], whose arrival on Mata Nui had been foretold by prophecy.

During the [[Great War]], Kopeke was tasked with monitoring the [[North March]]. During the waning days of the war, the [[Ta-Koro Guard]] stationed at the North March's outpost were attacked and taken by [[Infected Kanohi|infected]] [[Rahi]]. In the struggle, Kopeke was frozen into a wall of ice.

[[Takanuva#Matoran|Takua]], sent by the Captain of the Guard [[Jaller]], arrived, he used a [[Heatstone]] to thaw Kopeke out. Revived, Kopeke ran away to his observation post. After Takua caught up with him, he asked Kopeke about the [[Ta-Koro Guard]], and Kopeke told him that the [[Ta-Matoran]] had been claimed by Teridax.

When Takua came to Ko-Koro seeking a Matoran to join his [[Chronicler's Company|company to defend Kini-Nui]], Nuju told him to take Kopeke. Kopeke agreed, and his [[Ice]] carving skills later came in handy when he carved a key to the [[Gate of Ice]] out of a nearby icicle. When the Company reached the [[Kini-Nui]], they discovered the [[Toa Mata]] already there, preparing to descend into [[Mangaia|Teridax's lair]] to confront the Makuta. Tasked with protecting the entrance so that the Toa could return, Kopeke and the rest of the Company valiantly [[Battle for Kini-Nui|fought]] off wave after wave of infected Rahi seeking to destroy the temple's entrance. However, Kopeke and Company were eventually outnumbered, and forced to make a last stand. Fortunately, they were saved by the last-minute arrival of the Ta-Koro Guard, [[Ussalry]] and [[Gukko Force]], who combined their forces to drive away Makuta's forces. After the battle, Kopeke was seen having a conversation with [[Matoro]].

Kopeke is a champion of [[Huai Snowball Sling]], and was [[The Rebuilding|rebuilt]] after the [[Battle Against the Bohrok-Kal|defeat]] of the [[Bohrok-Kal]]. He was also chosen as goal-keeper for [[Ko-Koro]]'s team in the [[Kolhii Tournament]], though he and Matoro did not make it to the Championship. He originally wore a powerless blue-grey Noble [[Kanohi]] [[Komau]], but it was damaged in Kolhii practice. In honor of Turaga [[Nuju]], Kopeke replaced the mask with a powerless grey Noble [[Matatu]].

Kopeke was evacuated from Ko-Koro when the [[Rahkshi]] attacked.

=== Return to Metru Nui ===
Kopeke later helped in the construction of [[boat]]s to facilitate his, and the other Matoran's, return to Metru Nui. He also helped rebuild the city which had suffered damage in the past millennium. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of [[Jaller]], to force the Turaga to reveal where the [[Toa Nuva]] had gone, but he eventually got back to work. After Hahli became a Toa, Kopeke was appointed chronicler of Metru Nui and given the [[Chronicler's Staff]].

After returning from [[the Pit]], Hahli recounted the [[Toa Mahri]]'s adventures to Kopeke, so that he could record them. Toa Mahri [[Kongu]] later approached the Ko-Matoran, and warned him not to write anything unfavorable about the deceased Matoro.

=== Teridax's Reign ===
Kopeke was present at the celebration during which Teridax announced his new mastery over the [[Matoran Universe|universe]]. He later left Metru Nui and joined with a group of rebels that was made up of [[Tahu]], [[Order of Mata Nui]] agent [[Johmak]], the [[Shapeshifting]] Rahi [[Krahka]], and the [[Dark Hunters]] [[Guardian]] and [[Lariska]]. While camping in the ruins of {{p|Karzahni|Location}}, Kopeke witnessed Guardian being killed by Teridax by manipulation of the [[earth]] and the group was ambushed by [[Exo-Toa]], via which Teridax informed them that they were to return to Metru Nui with their robot captors, or die. Moments later, [[Onua]] destroyed the Exo-Toa in a surprise attack. Kopeke then traveled with Onua, Tahu, Johmak, Krahka, and Lariska to [[Daxia]], where they destroyed Teridax's largest source of [[Energized Protodermis]]. Kopeke later returned to Metru Nui.

After Teridax's reign was ended by his [[Battle of Bara Magna|death]], Kopeke joined other former members of the Chronicler's Company in rescue efforts after the city was devastated by the Makuta's demise. Whereas most Ko-Matoran are antisocial, Kopeke is just shy. However, other Matoran typically regard him as aloof due to his silent nature. Kopeke was also well known in his village as an accomplished [[Carver|Ice Carver]], able to shape delicate and detailed sculptures in relatively short amounts of time.

Kopeke has a resistance to cold, a trait he shares with other Ko-Matoran.
