On Metru Nui, Kamen lived and worked in [[Po-Metru]]. He was captured by the [[Vahki]] under the command of [[Makuta]] [[Teridax]], disguised as [[Turaga]] [[Dume]]. He was then forced into a [[Matoran Sphere]] but was later [[Great Rescue|rescued]] by the [[Toa Metru]] and awakened on the shores of [[Naho Bay]] on the island of [[Mata Nui (Location)|Mata Nui]].{{BookCitation|BA4}}

Shortly after the Matoran's arrival on Mata Nui, Kamen assisted in the construction of [[Po-Koro]], using materials from the recycled [[Airship]]s that the [[Toa]] had brought the Matoran to Mata Nui in.{{BookCitation|BW}}

In Po-Koro, Kamen became a [[Matoran Occupations#Mata Nui Occupations|Stone Mason]]. It was his duty to make sure all of the carvings in Po-Koro did not disintegrate or begin to wear away. After ages of display, erosion had its effect from the harsh winds of the [[Motara Desert]], so Kamen made sure the stones did not crack or erode.{{OnlineCitation|MNOG2|6}}

Kamen was among the [[Matoran]] that were evacuated to [[Ga-Koro]] after [[Tahnok]] swarms [[Attack on Po-Koro|overwhelmed]] Po-Koro during the [[Bohrok Invasion|attacks]] of the [[Bohrok]]. When the [[Pahrak]] swarms [[Attack on Ga-Koro|besieged]] Ga-Koro, Kamen faced up to their attack along with all the other Matoran present prior the [[Bahrag]] being [[Battle in the Bohrok Nest|defeated]] by the [[Toa Mata]]. He later returned with his fellow Matoran to Po-Koro.{{MediaCitation|BOA|5-7}} Following the [[Battle Against the Bohrok-Kal|defeat]] of the [[Bohrok-Kal]], Kamen was [[The Rebuilding|rebuilt]] into more able form.{{MediaCitation|BKOA|3}}

Kamen helped to build [[boat]]s to facilitate his and the other Matoran's return to [[Metru Nui]]. He also helped reconstruct the part of the city that had been damaged as a result of the [[Great Cataclysm]]. He temporarily stopped his work of reconstruction on order of [[Jaller]], to force the Turaga to reveal where the [[Toa Nuva]] had gone, but he eventually got back to work.{{BookCitation|BL1}}
