== History ==
The Great Beings created the Iron Wolves by modifying existing creatures{{GregCitation|OGDi|page=208|post=8283|lines=4,9}}{{GregCitation|OGDi|page=329|post=13152|lines=2,22}} before the [[Core War]].{{GregCitation|OGDi|page=175|post=7,16}} The wolves were forced to assist in the war raging on Spherus Magna, and the warrior [[Surel]] trained a pack of wolves and led them into battle.{{OnlineCitation|RotGB|3}}

Surel's wolves arrived on [[Bara Magna]] and were stranded there when Spherus Magna [[The Shattering|shattered]] into three parts. They eventually migrated to the [[White Quartz Mountains]] with Surel, who had been badly injured during the war. The wolves protected and brought food to their master.{{OnlineCitation|RotGB|3}}

A small hunting pack of the wolves encountered a search expedition led by [[Tarduk]]. The hunting party trailed the team for a while, prompting the [[Agori]] to attempt escape maneuvers. Though the wolves were not fooled, they later hung back, luring the party into their den.{{OnlineCitation|RotGB|2}} There, the Agori were confronted by Surel, who explained the history of the wolves. == Abilities and Traits ==
The Iron Wolves resemble [[Creatures#Bara Magna|Wasteland Wolves]], but for the fact that they are a hybrid of metallic and organic parts.{{OnlineCitation|RotGB|2}} They emit a musky odor from the organic parts of their body.{{OnlineCitation|RotGB|3}}
