== Biography ==
Gar was injured and sent to {{p|Karzahni|Location}} to be repaired, but {{p|Karzahni|Being}} did a poor job of it and sent Gar was to the [[Southern Continent]] to hide his failure. He was on [[Voya Nui]] during the upheaval caused by the [[Great Cataclysm]], which tore the region from the Southern Continent and sent it to [[Aqua Magna|the planet surface]]. He lived on a piece of land that broke off and sank into the ocean, becoming [[Mahri Nui]].

Though he forgot his memories of living on Voya Nui, Gar eventually became [[Defilak]]'s best friend. Gar went on a sea expedition with [[Sarda]], [[Idris]], and Defilak to discover what was preying on the Mahri Nui Matoran. [[Defilak's Submarine]] was torn apart by [[Takea]] as Gar and the other Matoran entered [[Pridak]]'s territory. After a brief interrogation by Pridak, he escaped with Idris. They swam to the [[Fields of Air]] in an attempt to strengthen their fading [[Solidified Air Bubble|personal air bubbles]], but found them infested by [[Keras]]. Both would have died had Defilak not found them and pulled them into Mahri Nui. Gar joined with the others to smash the city's [[Lightstone]]s to drive off the massive [[Venom Eel#300 Foot Mutant Venom Eel|Venom Eel]] attacking it.{{BookCitation|BL6}}

Gar and the other Mahri Nui Matoran were later sent to a passage that would take them up [[the Cord]], led by the [[Toa Mahri]]. [[Axonn]] took him and the other Matoran into the [[Nui Caves]] to survive Voya Nui's descent. Gar then returned to the surface of the Southern Continent.{{BookCitation|BL8}}

== Abilities and Traits ==
Gar is naturally cautious, questioning various points of Defilak's plans, but was willing to help his friend. He is also very noble, and prepared to sacrifice himself to save Idris, even though he did not know her very well.{{BookCitation|BL6}}

Gar was rebuilt by Karzahni into a weaker form, although most of these revisions were undone by a brief exposure to the [[Pit Mutagen]]. As an Onu-Matoran, Gar can see well in the dark, and is fairly strong.
