== Biography ==
Long ago, Dezalk suffered an injury and was sent to {{p|Karzahni|Being}} to be repaired. He was rebuilt, but into a weaker form. He was then sent to spend the rest of his life on the Southern Continent, as Karzahni was ashamed of his own poor abilities.{{BookCitation|BL2}} During the [[Great Cataclysm]], he was amongst the [[Matoran]] living on a piece of land which was shot out of the continent's dome and onto the surface of [[Aqua Magna]], the island of [[Voya Nui]].

When the [[Piraka]] arrived on Voya Nui, they lied to the Matoran and told then they were [[Toa]], and put Dezalk to work with the others. However, he was later taken by the Piraka, under the guise that he was in a searching mission deep in mountains. They exposed him to the effects of [[Antidermis]], making him susceptible to their commands. The Piraka used Dezalk to betray the other Matoran, having him tell them to go to their fortress. All the Matoran were then enslaved as a result, with only the members of the [[Voya Nui Resistance Team|Resistance Team]] escaping.{{BookCitation|BL1}}

Dezalk, along with the other Matoran, was freed from the Piraka's control by the [[Toa Inika]].{{BookCitation|BL3}}

Dezalk was taken into the [[Nui Caves]] with the rest of the Matoran to survive the descent of Voya Nui back to the Southern Continent.{{BookCitation|BL8}} After being returned to the Southern Continent, he began helping the other Matoran rebuild Voya Nui.

After [[Battle of Bara Magna|damage]] rendered the [[Great Spirit Robot]] uninhabitable, Dezalk left the [[Matoran Universe]] to live on [[Spherus Magna]].{{GregCitation|OGDi|page=295|post=11800|lines=8,9}}{{GregCitation|OGDi|page=297|post=11859}}
