== History ==
[[Matoran]] were able to board from these stations into the Chute system via passtickets which they can purchase. Various operations were controlled by [[Chute Station Attendant]]s in the Control areas of each Station. The direction of the [[Protodermis]] flow could be controlled from here. Chutes were constantly monitored to make sure that no Matoran got stuck in the flow. During a traffic rush, the chute width could be adjusted to accommodate the volume of passengers.

While searching for the [[Great Disks]], [[Toa Metru]] [[Matau]] traveled to a Chute Control Station in the middle of [[Le-Metru]] where he spoke to the attendant [[Tuuli]], seeking information on the [[Le-Matoran]] [[Orkahm]]'s whereabouts. Likewise, during his search for the missing [[Ko-Matoran]] [[Ehrye]], Toa Metru [[Nuju]] questioned [[Talvi]] at a [[Ko-Metru]] Chute Station about the messenger's sudden absence.

Shortly before the [[Great Cataclysm]], the [[Dark Hunters]] [[Krekka]] and [[Nidhiki]] entered a Chute Control Station on the edge of Le-Metru, to threaten the Attendant [[Kongu]], into reversing the flow of a Chute in which three of the Toa Metru were escaping. Under their coercion, Kongu unwillingly did so.

Many of the stations were rendered inoperable due to the effects of the Great Cataclysm, although they have been repaired by the [[Staff of Artakha]].

Many Chute Stations were severely damaged when the fragment of [[Aqua Magna]] hit Metru Nui. Later, the Chute Stations, along with all other locations in the [[Matoran Universe]], were dismantled.{{GregCitation|OGQ|page=4|post=130|lines=7,18}}{{GregCitation|CwGF|page=426|post=10878435}}
