== History ==
The main supply of [[Lightstone]]s for the village of [[Onu-Koro]] was located here. Its entrance was located in a tunnel network connecting Onu-Koro to [[Ta-Koro]] and [[Le-Koro]] and the cave itself was only accessible when its entry was unlocked with a special key.

Shortly after the coming of the [[Toa Mata]], the cavern was cut off by a rogue flow of lava. As a result, Lightstone productivity ground to a halt and Onu-Koro was forced to use torches instead, which proved ineffective against the threat of [[Rahi]] such as [[Kofo-Jaga]]. The wandering [[Av-Matoran]] [[Takua]] stumbled upon the Cavern and surfed the lava to reach the pump that controlled the flow using his [[Lavaboard]]. After he repaired a mechanism which pumped out the lava, the miners were then able to mine the Lightstones once again and light Onu-Koro.

Later, the Cavern of Light was destroyed by the reawakened [[Bohrok]] swarms.
