== Landscape ==
When the Voya Nui region of the [[Southern Continent]] rocketed upwards to the surface of [[Aqua Magna]], the Cape of No Hope was formed. The western edge of the long peninsula represented a section of the [[Ring of Ice]] and was thusly covered in ice.

Because it was home to many dangerous [[Rahi]], such as [[Lava Ape]]s, [[Shore Turtle]]s, [[Gafna]] and [[Burnak]], the [[Matoran]] of Voya Nui seldom ventured to the cape.{{OnlineCitation|VNOG|6}} Many of the Rahi that lived in this area were killed as the island descended back into its original location as part of the Southern Continent.

When [[Teridax]] was killed in the [[Battle of Bara Magna]], the Cape of No Hope was severely damaged, and the Matoran evacuated to [[Spherus Magna]].
