== History ==
The Archives Mole species was created by the [[Makuta]] using [[virus]]es and Liquid [[Protodermis]] to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the [[Matoran Universe]].{{BookCitation|MGttU|entryname=The Makuta|page=63}}

Originally living in [[Po-Metru]], the Archives Moles were forced to flee due to the increase of [[Assemblers' Villages]]. A great number of the population fled to the shadowy corners of the [[Archives]] and fed on small Rahi insects and [[Protodite]]s. Due to their personality and their size, the Archives Moles had to focus on cooperation instead of fighting back to predators. They are proficient at this, forming ladders and bridges of themselves to help others of their species through the more treacherous areas of the Archives.{{BookCitation|RB|entryname=Archives Moles|page=6}}

When the {{p|Visorak|Rahi}} arrived in [[Metru Nui]], the Archives Moles followed their own instincts to run and hide. They fled to areas in which the Visorak could not fit, such as small cracks between buildings, and remained there motionless. The Visorak would either leave, as they thought better of their time than to try at impossible prey, or spin thick webs blocking the only way out, thereby sealing the Archives Moles within. As a [[Rahaga]], [[Bomonga]] always looked out for stray Visorak webbing in the Archives, as they commonly marked one of the Archives Moles' hiding spots.{{BookCitation|RB|entryname=Archives Moles|page=6}}
