== Biography ==
More than 80,000 years ago, Amphibax served in [[Ehlek]]'s army in the [[League of Six Kingdoms]]. After a [[Battle Against the Barraki|surprise attack]] by the [[Brotherhood of Makuta]], Ehlek and the other [[Barraki]] disappeared. Amphibax spent some time wandering the seas, searching for Ehlek, and lost a hand at some point during his travels.{{BookCitation|BEU|page=9|entryname=Amphibax}}

Eventually, Amphibax was recruited into the Dark Hunters, who outfitted him with a spined whip in place of his lost hand. Amphibax's missions usually included attacks on ships of the [[Brotherhood of Makuta]] or raids on islands inhabited by [[Matoran]].
