The [[Kanohi]] '''Iden''' is the Mask of Astral Projection (Spirit).

The Kanohi Iden allows its user to temporarily release their spirit from their body. While released, their spirit can move at great speeds and inhabit other living, spiritless biomechanical bodies or self-powered robots. However, their original body will become helpless and unconscious, and cannot be revived, as there is no consciousness inhabiting it. Those who wear a [[Kanohi]] [[Elda]] or Kanohi [[Rode]] can see and communicate with the user's released spirit. While released, the user's spirit cannot access any of their powers, because the use of powers requires a union of the spirit and the body. Their body is also vulnerable, as they have no way to protect it themselves. If the user's body is killed, their spirit will eventually fade away as they have no body to return to; however, if the user's Iden is destroyed while their body remains intact, the user's spirit will be forced back into their body. Multiple Kanohi Iden-users could swap bodies by sending their spirits into each other's spiritless bodies. A Toa's powers are tied to their spirit, however, not their body, so if a Kanohi Iden-using Toa goes into another body, the body will have the spirit's Elemental Powers.

A '''Iden Nuva''' is created when a destined Iden is dipped in [[Energized Protodermis]]. In addition to its standard abilities, it allows the user's spirit to move faster, and its power can be shared with individuals near the user; however, it can only be used by Nuva beings.

As a 1AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges to eject their spirit from their body. Their spirit is Invisible, and is immune to damage and effects of any kind except purely mental effects. Their spirit has a fly speed of 50+Xft (where X is equal to 10 times the number of Kanohi Charges spent). The wearer’s body is Helpless for the duration of this effect, but the wearer remains aware of everything happening in the vicinity of both their body and spirit. As a 2AP action, the spirit may possess a Mindless being, Dominating it and imparting their own Mental Attribute Scores, Archetype and Supertype abilities, and natural Species powers to the Mindless being. They use the possessed being’s physical stats.
The wearer may end this effect any time they are adjacent to their body as a 1AP action.

===Noble===
As a 1AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges to eject their spirit from their body. Their spirit is Invisible, and is immune to damage and effects of any kind except purely mental effects. Their spirit has a fly speed of 25+Xft (where X is equal to 5 times the number of Kanohi Charges spent). The wearer’s body is Helpless for the duration of this effect, but the wearer remains aware of everything happening in the vicinity of both their body and spirit. As a 4AP action, the spirit may spend an additional Kanohi Charge to possess a Mindless being, Dominating it and imparting their own Mental Attribute Scores, Archetype and Supertype abilities, and natural Species powers to the Mindless being. They use the possessed being’s physical stats.
The wearer may end this effect any time they are adjacent to their body as a 1AP action.

===Great Nuva===
As a 1AP action, the wearer may spend 1 or more Kanohi Charges to eject their spirit from their body. Their spirit is Invisible, and is immune to damage and effects of any kind except purely mental effects. Their spirit has a fly speed of 60+Xft (where X is equal to 10 times the number of Kanohi Charges spent). The wearer’s body is Helpless for the duration of this effect, but the wearer remains aware of everything happening in the vicinity of both their body and spirit. As a 1AP action, the spirit may possess a Mindless being, Dominating it and imparting their own Mental Attribute Scores, Archetype and Supertype abilities, and natural Species powers to the Mindless being. They use the possessed being’s physical stats.
The wearer may end this effect any time they are adjacent to their body as a 1AP action.
